About the Rio Maullín
The Maullín is designed around one principle: families should never have to compromise on comfort just because they're living out of a truck. It sleeps 3 adults comfortably — a fixed bed above the cab (190 × 160 cm, full mattress) and a convertible dining area that folds into a second bed (190 × 120 cm) — with extra room for children. The large dining area seats 4 adults or 6 kids around the table, making it a genuine living space. The manual gearbox suits experienced drivers who want more control on gravel roads. This is the truck for a three-week loop through the south, or a family crossing the Carretera Austral end to end.
Sleeping
Two sleeping areas: a fixed bed above the cab (190 × 160 cm, full mattress and blackout curtain) and a convertible dining area that folds into a second bed (190 × 120 cm). Comfortably sleeps 3 adults, with extra room for children.
Kitchen
A camping stove (gas canister), 65L compressor fridge, stainless sink and 100L fresh water tank. Significantly more worktop space than the Rio Grande — you can actually cook a proper dinner.
Bathroom
A dry bathroom with a Cleanwaste Portable Toilet and an ambient-temperature outdoor shower. Compact and easy to manage on the road.
Living & storage
A large dining area seats 4 adults or 6 children, and converts to a bed at night. Side lockers and under-seat storage offer a reasonable amount of room for gear on the road.
